LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Venetian hotel-casino has announced that it is canceling its holiday show “This is Christmas!”
The show was scheduled to open Nov. 27. It is being canceled because of the statewide pause that went into effect at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday.

The hotel-casino sent the following statement:
Due to Governor Steve Sisolak’s recent directives of no more than 50 people allowed at public gatherings for at least the next three weeks starting tomorrow, all performances of “This is Christmas,” which was scheduled to open on Friday, Nov. 27 at The Venetian Resort, have been cancelled.
The show’s producers want to thank the public for their support of the show, as well as the performers, the team at The Venetian Resort, and everyone involved with “This is Christmas” who have been working tirelessly to launch the show this Friday. They are hopeful that they can bring “This is Christmas” to audiences in Las Vegas during the 2021 holiday season, and wish everyone a safe and healthy holiday this year.
All tickets for performances of “This is Christmas” will be refunded at the point of purchase

The show was supposed to feature performances from American Idol Season 2 finalist Lou Gazzara, award-winning Broadway star Randal Keith, Las Vegas performer Jaclyn McSpadden, master magician Ben Stone, American Idol Season 3 finalist Jasmine Trias, American Idol Season 5 semi-finalist Laura Suzanne Wright, and acclaimed director, producer and performer Eric Jordan Young.
