School districts across the country are reevaluating their policies on transgender students and bathroom usage after President Donald Trump revoked previous federal guidelines on the issue.
Governor Sandoval and CCSD have been vocal about the issue of transgender students using the bathroom they identify with.
After the initial order by President Obama, Governor Sandoval released a statement that a 2011 state law gives people equal access to public accommodations and prohibits discrimination based on gender identity.
CCSD says that they work with schools, parents and student to make sure all students are accommodated.
