LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — They are among the world's top celebrities and the focus of the 20/20 special "$ellebrity: The Go-To Girls - A Special Edition."
Their fame has deep roots in Las Vegas and here are some things about them that you may not know.
Sin City is an expensive playground for the world's rich and famous, including Britney Spears, Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian.
"When we talk about Britney Spears some of her most impactful moments have happened in Las Vegas, " says entertainment journalist Kristyn Burtt.
Burtt says Spears changed the Las Vegas entertainment industry with the piece of me residency at Planet Hollywood.
"Between 2013 and 2017 that show generated $138 million. It really established Las Vegas as a place to continue your career as a musician. Before it became a place where you are maybe there at the tail end of your career."
In 2018, Spears promising to dominate the Strip one more time with a new residency at Park MGM.
She would cancel the show before it even began. Spears citing her father's worsening health.

But it's not just the history-making shows happening in Las Vegas.
Go back a few years, she had a lot of struggles. Some of those struggles did happen in Las Vegas.
One of those struggles happened in 2004.
On Jan. 4, Spears shocked the world when she married her childhood friend Jason Allen Alexander at the Little White Chapel. The marriage was annulled just 55 hours later.
Pop culture sensation Paris Hilton, also finding out not everything that happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. In 2010 getting busted for possession of cocaine.
"I think for Paris this was a wake up call. Thinking I cant live this social life lifestyle. That's when she leaned into her DJ career. Sometimes even making a million dollars a night to play a set."
It's not just Britney and Paris changing pop culture, Kim Kardashian is a household name across the globe.
"She (Kim Kardashian) rose to fame first as Paris Hilton's best friend of course."
That friendship propelling Kim K to getting paid just to celebrate her birthdays at top Vegas club.
"You would see her at TAO, you'd see her at JET, you'd see her at LAX Nightclub and Marquee and people would bring up these huge cakes.
Britney, Paris and Kim are on top of their game, the game they changed years ago.
"Whats amazing about Britney Spears, Kim Kardashian as well as Paris Hilton, they established the whole influencer culture before social media was a thing," says Burtt.
