LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Clark County Education Association hosted a rally at the Federal Courthouse in downtown Las Vegas along with hundreds of educators, parents, students, and community members as part of the movement to Fund Our Schools NOW.

Educators rallied to secure additional education funding at the 2019 Legislative Session, and were joined by hundreds of parents and students.

The rally focused on securing additional funding to provide more for our schools and students.

Educators across the valley continue to fight for funding to reduce class sizes, get the resources necessary for our students with special needs, and to secure the salaries they have earned and deserve.

Teachers and supporters rallied during a critical time during the Legislative Session — when lawmakers were deciding on the State’s education budget.

Lawmakers in Carson City ran and got elected on a platform of adequately funding education, and on Saturday, Southern Nevada decided to l show them that they have the support in the community that they need to make good on their commitments to Fund Our Schools NOW.

The Clark County Education Association represents more than 18,000 educators.
