A suspect was detained after an altercation turned into a shooting at 7800 West Sahara Avenue on Wednesday.
Las Vegas police received several calls about the incident around 9:54 a.m.
Reports say the suspect and the victim knew each other and had been in a long-standing dispute. The two men got into an altercation in front of the businesses on Sahara Avenue, where one man pulled out a gun and shot at the other.
The victim fled from the shooter and fell in the street. He was taken to the hospital but did not have any gunshot wounds. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries from falling.
The suspect was detained at the scene.
