LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A study by UNLV suggests drivers who have expensive cars are not very nice behind the wheel.
Researchers watched as volunteers tried to cross a busy street at a crosswalk and they discovered people in luxury cars were less likely to slow down or stop.
They also discovered that for every $1,000 increase in value, they saw a 3% drop in likelihood of someone driving a luxury car stopping for a person in a crosswalk.
One theory is that people who drive luxury cars are less likely to empathize with people walking.
