A UNLV student has filed a lawsuit against the university, claiming she was attacked and stabbed on campus in May 2017.
The student says she was walking on campus when her attacker started to follow her before reportedly stabbing her in the right leg.
In the lawsuit, the student claims UNLV's lack of security is to blame for the attack and also the extent of the injuries.
The university said they do not comment on pending litigation.
