UPDATE: The "stress test" for the T-Mobile Arena was a reported success. Guests of the arena on Thursday night enjoyed a concert by country singer Martina McBride.

Not everyone was happy though.

One woman did tell 13 Action News that there was a problem with the one of the escalators, which resulted in a long delay in leaving the arena.

The grand opening on April 6 will feature a concert by The Killers and Wayne Newton.

Original story: A big event is happening on the Las Vegas Strip tonight and it's not being advertised. However, it could have a big impact on traffic.

Thousands of people will be at the new T-Mobile Arena for a dress rehearsal.

The "stress test" is to make sure everything is ready for the arena's grand opening next week.

The opening of the T-Mobile Arena is one of the biggest openings on the Las Vegas Strip in a long time.

So, it will be all hands on deck at the arena on Thursday night. The arena will be testing everything -- parking, ticketing, and security.

There will also be a show.

T-Mobile hasn't released many details about the stress test and it is unknown who will be performing. Guests include MGM employees and the people who helped build the new arena.

We do know that doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the show will begin around 8. It is expected to be over by 10.

If you were planning to head to the Las Vegas Strip later today, you may want to plan accordingly.
