Rain showers arrived in the Las Vegas valley Sunday.
Rainfall totals around the valley so far are about .04". Mainly light, steady showers expected throughout tonight.

Thunder and lightning was associated with some storms around the valley with a tree being struck by lightning at the Las Vegas Country Club where a house also caught fire.
The fire was reported around 2:50 p.m. in the 1100 block of Pinehurst Drive. Firefighters determined the cause of the fire was a lightning strike to a tree adjacent to the building and then spreading to the wood shake shingle roof.
The fire was contained to the one home with damages estimated at $200,000.
No occupants were home at the time but firefighters rescued two cats. There was a minor eye injury to a firefighter.

A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for northeastern Clark County from 3:42 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., including Overton, Moapa Valley, Valley of Fire and Logandale.
The thunderstorm brought flooding near Overton.

There were also reports of hail throughout Southern Nevada, including in Pahrump.
Winds were expected to pick up Sunday night with a wind advisory for Las Vegas and Henderson through 6 p.m. Monday.

There are winter storm warnings in effect for surrounding counties, including Esmeralda and Nye, where snow is expected.

There is also a slight chance for snow showers in the valley early Monday morning. The areas of Centennial Hills and Summerlin could see snow.
Temperatures were in the 50s around the valley Sunday but were expected to drop to the 40s Monday with wind chills even colder.
