NEVADA (KTNV) — The viral weekend is here for the 'Storm Area 51' event, and sportsbooks are offering bettors the chance to wager on the action.
The Facebook event has morphed into a life of its own with authorities preparing for the festivities and an onslaught of alien enthusiasts in rural Nevada.

Sportsbooks in Las Vegas, for entertainment purposes, and international books have set betting lines for what they think will be happening at a few of the planned events.
BetOnline is the latest sportsbook to post propositional odds on the events connected to the viral social media event.

A few of these wagers include how many will attend the AlienStock event in Rachel, Nev., the number of arrests, and asks if President Trump will be tweeting about the event.
Director Jay Kornegay at the Westgate Superbook said his team also wanted to have some fun with the event. They released a few wagers of their own for entertainment purposes.

These ranged from how many will show up to 'Storm Area 51' on Sept. 20 to will Area 51 be breached?
"Our collective minds got together. And we joke around quite a bit, and we have a lot of fun back there," Kornegay said. "So, this was really easy for us to come up with these propositions that we thought might get a couple of chuckles."
