Stolen cars found in gated Centennial Hills neighborhood

Neighbors in a gated community in Centennial Hills says they're concerned by rising crime in their area.

That all led to up a incident Tuesday where a large police presence led to several arrests in cases of stolen cars.

Veronica Canas says she was eating breakfast when she saw a strange man running through her own backyard.  She says he hopped a wall into a treehouse, and surveillance video later shows him running down the street.

Turns out, Las Vegas police were there because a few stolen cars were traced to the neighborhood.

Keshaun Brown, a high school student who lives at the house where the cars were found, had a party the night before. He says he didn't know his new friends very well and had no idea they may have been involved in car thefts.

Police arrested several people, including Brown. He was later released after they found he wasn't involved.

But the fact that suspects were roaming through their neighborhood has neighbors concerned.

"It's scary," Canas says.

Neighbors tell 13 Action News they will be keeping a close eye out watching for any crime on their street.
