UPDATE: The standoff is over, according to Las Vegas police. The suspect surrendered without incident around 2:25 p.m. The garage has been reopened to the public.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police are attempting to negotiate with a possible car thief at the Gold Coast hotel-casino at 4000 W. Flamingo Road.
Police say they received a call at 11:56 a.m. Monday from security at the hotel-casino saying there was a possible stolen vehicle on the property and someone was inside of it.
Police responded and ordered suspect out of the vehicle. After no response was received, they established a perimeter and called in a negotiator.
The stolen vehicle is in the parking garage. The general public is being kept away from the scene.
