A day after a KTNV/Rasmussen Reports poll found a small majority of Nevada voters were against raising room taxes to fund an NFL stadium, another poll finds the opposite.
The Sands Corporation, a major supporter of the stadium proposal, released a poll through WPA research Tuesday. It asked based off what you know today, do you support or oppose the Las Vegas Dome project that is paid with less than 1 percent increase in Las Vegas hotel room taxes?
The results found 62 percent support, 26 percent oppose and 12 percent are undecided.
13 Action News spoke to David Damore, a UNLV political science professor, about the difference.
"In this case, if you looked at the questions, they're very different questions," he said. "One of them uses the Raiders and gives the total public contribution of $750 million, the other one just talks about a domed stadium and talks about the small increase in the room tax."
