A man and woman are dead in an apparent murder-suicide Monday evening.
Homicide detectives say they are looking into the possibility that the case stems from ongoing domestic violence that went unreported.
"If your neighbors are screaming and yelling and fighting and they're coming to you and saying they're being abused, please call somebody. Taking those steps you might save somebody's life," Lt. Dan McGrath said.
Police responded around 4:50 p.m. to the 4800 block of Vegas Valley Drive, near Nellis Boulevard.
Detectives say the man stabbed the woman five to six times before turning the knife on himself.
Both later died at the hospital.

Police say there were two other adults and two children in the apartment at the time of the stabbing.
