Las Vegas residents will have one less sporting goods chain to visit.
CNN reported Sports Authority has announced it is closing all 450 stores nationwide, including three in Southern Nevada -- Summerlin, Henderson and northwest Las Vegas -- and one in Reno. No date of the closures has been announced.
The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March. Sports Authority was initially going to close 140 stores and it distribution centers.
Sports Authority will liquidate all stores and close down operations in the months ahead, according to CNN.
Sports Authority's announcement comes just weeks after Sport Chalet announced it was closing all its locations, including 2 in Las Vegas.
