LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Sparrow + Wolf has told 13 Action News that Chef De Cuisine Bobby Silva passed away unexpectedly last Tuesday night March 23.
He is survived by two sons, Robert and Alex as well as an extended family in Southern California. Sparrow + Wolf Chef/Owner Brian Howard has announced a fundraising dinner event in tribute to Chef de Cuisine Bobby Silva, who died unexpectedly last Tuesday at age 39.
“A Tribute To The Life of Bobby Silva” will be held on Monday, April 5, 6:30-9:30 PM at Vegas Test Kitchen located at 1020 E. Fremont, Las Vegas, NV 89101. Eleven chefs who worked with Silva in various capacities will pay tribute to him via their dishes including:

- Johnny Church (Johnny C’s Diner)
- Roy Ellamar (Harvest)
- Justin Kingsley Hall (Main St. Provisions)
- Brian Howard (Sparrow + Wolf/ Spaghetti on the Wall)
- Bill Kang
- Shaun King
- Gary LaMorte (Honest Hospitality)
- Brian Lhee (Majordomo Meat and Fish)
- Marc Marrone (Graffitti Bao, Graffiti Italian)
- Sung Park (Sliced Sushi)
Pairing cocktails will be created by Anthony Jamison (The Sand Dollar Lounge) and Alyssa Ocampo (Sparrow + Wolf).
“Bobby showed his love to the world through his cooking, so we thought the best way to honor that would be to recreate some of his dishes, and remember him through his food,” said Howard. “I’m honored and humbled that so many of my fellow chefs and mixologist friends were eager to get involved for this special night.”
The evening will also include ambient entertainment by local musician Dan Fester, a live auction and a moment of silence in memoriam.
All chefs and staffers of the event will be donating their time and product. Proceeds from the event will go directly to the late chef’s family including his two sons.
