Smith's has announced that some of their Las Vegas valley locations will no longer be open 24-7.
According to representatives with Smith's, about 1/3 of the Smith's grocery stores in the Las Vegas valley are transitioning to new hours and will no longer be open overnight. They will be open from 6 a.m. to midnight or 1 a.m.
The locations with new hours, as of late November, are listed below:
8050 S RAINBOW BLVD., LAS VEGAS
10616 S EASTERN AVE., HENDERSON
1000 N GREEN VALLEY PKWY, HENDERSON
10100 W TROPICANA, LAS VEGAS
4600 E SUNSET RD., HENDERSON
6130 W TROPICANA, LAS VEGAS
3850 E FLAMINGO RD., LAS VEGAS
10600 SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS PKWY, LAS VEGAS
55 S VALLE VERDE DR., HENDERSON
2385 EAST WINDMILL LN., LAS VEGAS
830 S BOULDER HIGHWAY, HENDERSON
9750 S MARYLAND PARKWAY, LAS VEGAS
Representatives with Smith's say they're still running some studies on the other 24-7 stores across the valley, and those hours could change in the future.
In a statement, the rep with Smith's told 13 Action News that "new hours of operation are based on store volume," and they have been evaluated for peak shopping hours. Hours were then adjusted based on what was most cost efficient.
