A Siena Suites was evacuated near Boulder Highway and Russell Road around 1 a.m. Monday.
Police say a bail bondsman was taking another man into custody when the bondsman noticed what appeared to be a grenade. Bomb squad units were called to the scene as residents were evacuated.
The device was deemed safe. No injuries were reported.
