A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for southern Clark County until 3:45 p.m. by the National Weather Service.
At 3:07 p.m., Doppler Radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter-size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph was located near Katherine Landing and was moving southeast at 10 mph.
Impacted areas include Laughlin and the Cal-Nev-Ari area.
The storm could produce large hail that can cause injury and property damage.
Rain and hail has already been reported by residents of southeast Las Vegas.
