LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- Business owners from Henderson to North Las Vegas are on edge while local police search for the man who they believe is responsible for a series of burglaries since April.

13 Action News spoke to one of the business owners who was targeted recently by the serial burglar.

Ilse Acuna's store isn't a very big one. So, a break-in like the one that she experienced had a tremendous impact on her bottom line.

Also, her business wasn't just hit once. It was hit twice.

"For someone to just walk in here, and steal everything from us, it's just hard," she said.

Detectives from Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, and Henderson are all working on the case.

They believe that the burglar may be responsible for as many as 35 burglaries across the Las Vegas valley.

Acuna says that the burglar took $1,700 from her, and the money that he stole was supposed to be used for rent.

The most difficult part though for Acuna is that she now feels that she and her children are not safe.

Police said the suspect struck again last night.

It's unclear how many cases Metro detectives are currently investigating.

13 Action News reached out to the PIO's office but has not heard back.

Local police have asked the public for their help in identifying the suspect.
