WASHINGTON, D.C. (KTNV) — On Jan. 22 U.S. Senators Jacky Rosen (D-NV) and Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) met with the Nevada National Guard members deployed to Washington to protect the U.S. Capitol.
The two senators released the following joint statement afterward:
“We’re grateful to the Nevada National Guard members who traveled to Washington and who have done an outstanding job keeping us safe these last two weeks,” said the Senators. “Today, we met with brave men and women from Nevada, and had the opportunity to administer the reenlistment oath for some officers. We are forever grateful for our servicemembers who courageously serve in our military to defend our freedoms and for their enormous sacrifices in service to our country.”
