LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- The RTC has launched a new on-demand rideshare service to get folks around the Las Vegas Strip and surrounding destinations.
'Trip to Strip' is the Regional Transportation Commission's newest pilot program that's offered without any surge pricing, challenging Uber or Lyft.
13 Action News took a ride down the Strip Wednesday inside one of the vans to check it out.
Each vehicle can carry up to eleven passengers and are equipped with USB chargers and room for luggage.
The program utilizes the already existing RTC bus and paratransit stops along the Strip, as well as the ones at Town Square, the Convention Center and McCarran Airport.
Very similar to Uber, folks can download the 'Trip to Strip' app, which allows you to pick a pick-up point, how many passengers are riding, and what the destination is.
Trips will cost you starting at $6 but go up based on the number of riders and distance traveled.
