A rooftop solar company that accused Gov. Brian Sandoval of political cronyism has dropped a lawsuit seeking to force the release of his text messages.
Sandoval said he met with Sunrun CEO Lynn Jurich on Tuesday, and she expressed the company's desire to re-enter the market in Nevada.
Sunrun announced in January that it was laying off hundreds of workers and ceasing Nevada operations after regulators approved a controversial rate hike for rooftop solar customers.
Sunrun filed a request last summer seeking all communications between Sandoval, his aides, and lobbyists who represented NV Energy during the 2015 legislative session when lawmakers laid the groundwork for the rate hike.
The governor's office provided some emails, but no text messages and Sunrun sued.
The parties agreed to abandon the suit after mediation.
