If you are in the downtown area this weekend, you might notice some road closures in effect.
Set up has begun for this year's Life is Beautiful event that is taking place Sept. 23-25.
The closures began at midnight on Wednesday, Sept. 14, and will take place in six phases leading up to the opening of the fourth annual event.
More than 100,000 people are expected to attend the giant music, art and food festival that covers 18 city blocks bounded by Mesquite and Bridger avenues and Sixth and 11th streets.
The streets will reopen in phases over the course of a week after the festival concludes.

Seventh Street between Carson and Ogden avenues
Eighth Street between Fremont Street and Stewart Avenue

Tickets are still available for the event. This year's musical headliners include Mumford & Sons, Jane's Addiction, J. Cole, G-Eazy, The Shins, Empire of the Suns and The Lumineers.

RuPaul will headline the speaker series. Other speakers include author Cal Fussman, actor Carlos Andres Gomez, multimedia street artist D*Face, CEO of Spartan Race Joe De Sena, Luis Calderin of Rock the Vote and many more.
