Retired Lt. Randy Sutton weighs in on Baton Rouge shootings

13 Action News Crime and Safety expert and retired Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Randy Sutton weighed in on the Baton Rouge police shootings.

Sutton is concerned how law enforcement officers are going to protect the American people when they are on edge trying to protect themselves.

He says each of these deadly incidents creates more of a divide between everyone. With that being said, Sutton says police officers all over the country will continue to do their jobs but they will just have a heightened sense of awareness as they do it.

"They're going to be even more and more concerned with every single stop they make... Every single interaction that they have," Sutton said. "And this is going to create an even more dangerous situation all over the United States."

Sutton says he hasn't witnessed this much hate and violence in the country since the 1960s and 1970s.
