Retailers are already making big plans for the holiday shopping rush, and that includes stores here in the valley.

Experts expect malls and shopping centers to be filled with shoppers ready to splurge, thanks to record-low unemployment and consumer optimism, and retailers plan to take full advantage of this.

The Gap is bringing on 65,000 seasonal workers and Target plans to hire 20 percent more seasonal workers in 2018.

UPS also plans to hire 100,000 additional workers for the increase in online shopping.
