Report: Rent up 12.9 percent in Las Vegas

While Las Vegas is often considered an affordable place to rent, a recent report found the rates are on the rise.

According to Zumper's July 2016 National Rent Report, the price of one-bedroom units in Las Vegas has increased 12.9 percent in the past year to $790 a month. This makes Las Vegas the 57th most expensive rental market in the country.

The median rent for a one-bedroom in Henderson is $850 a month and Reno is $620 a month.

The most expensive city is San Francisco with a median rent for a one-bedroom of $3,510 a month. New York City, San Jose, Boston and Oakland round out the top 5.
