Monday night the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center might as well have been the new Raiders stadium because fans came ready to support the team.

Billed as the largest downtown NFL viewing party, the crowd filled dozens of tables in front of three big screens to watch the Raiders take on the Los Angeles Rams. It was a set up fit for a king.

"My name is Marcos 'The Pirate King' McGrath!"

It's a title McGrath didn't inherit. Instead he said he earned because he's been a Raiders fan since 1963.

"I'm originally from Oakland, California," McGrath said. "I moved here to Vegas in 1998. I had no idea in my wildest dreams they would move here."

"I'm going to miss them in Oakland, " said Armando Alvarez. "But my son is here, so I may have to come here."

The free event with some VIP areas, a pool and plenty of food was perfect for fans who are ready to rally behind the new home team.

"I love it," said Aysha Lucas. "I absolutely love it. 100 percent!"

Even though the Raiders didn't pull off the win, fans said downtown pulled off a great viewing party.

The watch parties are happening throughout the season. Click here for more information.
