UPDATE: 49-year-old Walter W. Klatt has been arrested for the murder of the man whose body was found on Wednesday morning.

Police say that evidence at the scene indicated that the victim, who was likely homeless, had been involved in a fight prior to his death. During the course of the investigation, Klatt was identified as a suspect. Klatt was already under arrest for an unrelated misdemeanor charge in Bullhead City, Ariz. He is now awaiting extradition to Nevada.

This is the 77th homicide this year in Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction.
