With less than three weeks until the final presidential debate at UNLV, preparations are underway to make sure everything goes smoothly.
UNLV president Len Jessup told 13 Action News the logistics are at the forefront of current plans. The university has to make sure there is room for 5,000 to 7,000 journalists and risers for them and the candidates to stand on at the Thomas and Mack.
"The security level is a lot higher than four years ago and those things drive up costs," Jessup said.
The UNLV president says it is worth the cost. The university is already on track to get about $85 million in free publicity.
