LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The election could change the future of Nevada's higher education system.

Question 1 on the ballot looks to hold the Board of Regents more accountable to state lawmakers and will determine how $1.2 billion of taxes are spent.

And one of Nevada's longest-serving regents Jason Geddes shared his thoughts for not supporting the proposed amendment to make higher education like any other state agency.

Geddes joined 13 Action News on Election Day for an on-air interview with Anchor Todd Quinones.
