LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Sept. 22 marks National Voter Registration Day and the Clark County Recorders Office is sending out reminders for voters ahead of Election Day.

Data from Clark County shows about 1.2 million active registered voters in countywide.

Nearly 40,000 voters are listed as inactive, which means the address is not valid.

This year, all registered voters will automatically receive a mail-in ballot.

If you’re an inactive voter, Clark County won’t be able to send you that ballot. To check on your registration status, click here.

The deadline to register by mail is Oct. 6.

To register online, you have until Oct. 29.

You can also register to vote during the day of the election if you are voting in-person.
