Former Vice President Joe Biden holds slight lead over President Trump after new numbers released

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — New election results have been released for the State of Nevada as of 9:45 a.m. Thursday.

According to the secretary of state's website, former Vice President Joe Biden has 604,251 votes or 49.43% of the votes.

President Trump currently has 592,813 votes or 48.50% of the votes.

In Clark County, Biden has received 431,863 votes (53.11%). Trump has received 367,279 (45.17%).

These are not the final results. Clark County, which is the largest county in Nevada, is still counting its mail-in ballots. New results are currently scheduled to be released at 9 a.m. daily.

Biden currently has 264 electoral votes. If Nevada's six electoral votes were awarded to Biden, that would be enough for him to win the presidency.

The Trump campaign and Nevada Republican Party also announced a federal lawsuit this morning because they believe that "illegal" votes are being counted.

The Secretary of State says the next release of numbers will take place Friday morning. The Clark County Election Department also indicated they will release new numbers around 9 a.m. Friday.
