UPDATE: Coroner identifies mother killed after Dec. 15 collision involving 15-year-old driver

DEC. 22 UPDATE: The Clark County coroner has identified the mother who was killed as 26-year-old Andrea Lopez. Her cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries.

Police say a 15-year-old boy driving a 2004 Ford Mustang ran a red light and hit a SUV at the Bonanza and Eastern intersection on Tuesday.

The impact pushed the SUV onto the sidewalk where it struck a 26-year-old mother and her young children.

The woman was rushed to the University Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Her identity will be released by the coroner's office.

According to police, the woman's 5-year-old son suffered "moderate" injuries and her 1-year-old daughter suffered "minor" injuries.

A 16-year-old female passenger inside the Mustang and the 44-year-old female driver of the SUV also received minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
