: A woman made it out of the apartment with stab wounds. She is expected to live.The male suspect is still inside the apartment. No one else is believed to be with him. Everyone else in the building has been evacuated.

Original story: The Las Vegas Metro Police Department is reporting a standoff situation at an apartment complex near New York Avenue and Commerce Street.
The event began 5:44 a.m. on Wednesday when police received a call for domestic violence. When police arrived at the scene, a male refused to leave the apartment, and is believed to be armed.
Nearby apartment residents were evacuated. Roads are closed off in the area.
SWAT has responded to the scene.
