UPDATE: Police find SUV believed to be used in fatal hit-and-run on Dec, 18

UPDATE DEC. 23: Las Vegas police say they have located the vehicle they believe is responsible for the deadly hit-and-run. A 2006 Ford Explores was located on Dec. 22 at a residence in the area of Las Vegas Boulevard and East Craig Road. The Ford has a California plate and had damage as well as biological matter on the exterior surfaces, consistent with the auto versus pedestrian collision.

The driver of the Explorer remains outstanding and is urged to turn themselves in. Anyone with information should contact police or Crime Stroppers at 702-385-5555.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police say a woman is dead after she was hit by an SUV while crossing the street.

The crash happened near Pecos Road and Harmon Avenue shortly before 5 p.m.

The SUV did not stop, police say, and they are still looking for the driver. The vehicle was last seen speeding off after the crash on Harmon traveling eastbound.

The woman was not in a marked crosswalk when she was hit, according to authorities.

Her identity will be released by the Clark County Coroner's Office.
