UPDATE AT 7:50 p.m.-- The situation is ongoing and has not been resolved.
STORY:
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is working a barricaded suspect in the 1800 block of Fremont Street near Bruce Street.
This is a result of a shooting that occurred earlier today in the 600 block of S. 11th street near Bonneville Avenue.
At this time it appears there are no injuries, however a suspect has barricaded himself inside a room.
Evacuations are being made at the hotel. Fremont is closed between Bruce and 21st; Lewis is closed at Bruce.
