Update: Coroner identifies man who died after exiting moving vehicle

UPDATE SEPT. 28: The Clark County Coroner has identified the deceased male as 34-year-old David Matthew Montalvo from North Las Vegas. Montalvo's cause of death was blunt trauma and ruled an accident.

8 A.M. UPDATE: More information has been released about the incident this morning that involved a passenger exiting a moving vehicle near Buffalo Drive and Russell Road.

Police say that 33-year-old male driver of the vehicle, identified as Raymond Samante of North Las Vegas, displayed signs of impairment and failed the Standardized Field Sobriety Test at the scene. The driver has been arrested for driving under the influence.

The 34-year-old man who exited the vehicle was sitting in the backseat at the time. A 27-year-old woman was also in the vehicle at the time of the incident.

Police say a man is dead after it appears he jumped out of a car near Russell Road and Buffalo Drive.

They received a call that a man was lying in the road at 12:48 a.m.

Upon arrival, they found the man and he was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

It is believed he was a passenger in a car and jumped out while it was moving.

The Clark County coroner will release name of man after notification has been made.

It is not known why he jumped out of the moving car at this time.
