Police said a man accidentally shot himself while cleaning a gun in northwest Las Vegas Saturday evening.
The shooting occurred around 5:40 p.m. in the 6100 block of North Rainbow Boulevard, near Azure Drive. According to police, the man was cleaning the gun when it went off.
He was transported to UMC Trauma with non-life threatening injuries.
Police said the incident is being treated as a medical issue, not a criminal one.
