Las Vegas police are investigating a shooting in downtown Las Vegas.
It happened near 9th Street and Stewart Avenue at the Alpine Motel Apartments. The shooting was reported at 2:50 a.m.
The victim is expected to survive and police are looking for the shooter.
13 Action News spoke to a witness, who says the gunshots sounded like firecrackers going off. The witness then heard the victim shout out "Oh my God, I've been shot!"
The witness stayed with the victim until help arrived.

I'm at the scene of a shooting. This man heard it happen and stayed with the victim until paramedics arrived. Police say the victim should survive.
