UPDATE OCT. 16: The Clark County Coroner identified the victim as 28-year-old Daniel Villanueva from Las Vegas.
UPDATE AT 8:55 A.M. Police said during a briefing that the incident actually involved three men, the victim and two other men.
Two men were yelling at each other near the station's gas pumps when another man approached the pair and fired several shots.
The two men then fled the scene. They were last seen heading east on Lake Mead Boulevard.
Police say they are investigating the possibility that the shooting was gang related. They are currently talking to several witnesses and are asking anyone who has information about the shooting to call.
Police also said that they are expecting the road closure to be over within next 30 minutes.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- Police are on the scene of an incident near North Hollywood and East Lake Mead boulevards.
The incident was reported at 6:15 a.m. Police have blocked off a gas station in the area.
According to the preliminary investigation, two individuals were arguing in a McDonald's connected to a gas station in the area.
The argument spilled outside and one person was shot to death.
Hollywood Boulevard is closed in the area.
The deceased is a male. The Clark County coroner will release the name and age of the deceased after relatives have been notified.
As of 7:30 a.m., no one had been taken into custody.
