Police investigate hit-and-run crash involving utility pole

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run crash on Saturday that left one passenger critically injured.
 
Police say the collision happened around 6:54 p.m. at the intersection of Michael Way and Sheila Avenue. A 2005 Honda Accord was traveling east on Sheila Avenue and failed to stop at the stop sign at Michael way.
 
The Honda crashed head-on into a utility pole. The driver fled the vehicle on foot, traveling northbound on Michael Way. Three passengers in the rear of the vehicle fled southbound. 
 
The right front passenger was critically injured and remained at the scene until transported to the hospital by emergency medical services. The driver did not provide aid to the passenger, nor did he contact medical services or police.
