There will be huge celebrations across the country today for the Fourth of July, including right here in the Las Vegas valley.

Cities across America are taking steps to make sure nothing bad happens.

In New York City and Boston, police are bringing in more than 100 sand-filled trucks to stop drivers who might plan to plow into crowds.

And in Washington D.C., police officers are setting up big fences at the National Mall.

In Boston, police have set up a "secret operation lab" where they will keep an eye on the crowds in their city.

To be clear, there are no specific threats of an attack.

The parade in Summerlin starts at 9 a.m. Click here for more information on Fourth of July festivities.
