BOULDER CITY (KTNV) — Police in Boulder City are investigating the deaths of an elderly couple in what officials believe may be a murder-suicide.

On March 17 officers received a call for a welfare check from a family member of the couple.

When police arrived at the home near Christina and Capri drives, they found a female and male in their 70s that had been dead for an unknown period of time from gunshot wounds.

A weapon was found at the scene.

“Boulder City is not immune from crime, and its especially tough for family, friends and neighbors who are left with more questions than answers at this time,” said Chief Tim Shea.

“We send our sincerest condolences to the family and loved ones of the couple.”

The Coroner’s Office will release the names pending notification of next of kin.
