Police conducted an active shooter training at Shadow Ridge High School Wednesday.
They worked alongside Clark County School District police, fire, and agencies around the valley to train for a large-scale incident like a school shooting, which have become more common nationwide.
Sheriff Joe Lombardo says especially in light of 1 October and Parkland, it was important for additional training to make sure crews are prepared.
The training feature two shooters and SWAT units rappelling in to roof to handle the threat.
Las Vegas police said they will take what they learned and do a debrief so they can incorporate the training into action.
