LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — It was a big weekend of NASCAR in Las Vegas, which wrapped up with the Pennzoil 400 on Sunday.
Engines roared at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway as drivers raced to win. 267 laps and 38 cars -- grueling race requiring precision and strategy.

“The cars, the rivalry. Even though this is the second race of the season, there’s still guys battling it out for points" said Nico Giordano of Las Vegas. "It’s a good time."
Joey Logano came out on top for his second career win at the speedway.
Las Vegas natives Kurt and Kyle Busch received plenty of hometown support.
“All these people working as a team, getting the cars ready and getting it back out on the track for the pit stops. It’s awesome,” said Keith Baldwin, a NASCAR fan from Iowa.

The sunny weather brought out tens of thousands of fans. Some of them experiencing the excitement of NASCAR for the first time.
“I think it’s just seeing all the people here, watching this tournament, it’s awesome just to see the people,” said Dorothy Baldwin, also visiting from Iowa.
