Around 10:15 p.m., Henderson police responded to calls in reference to a pedestrian versus vehicle collision on Warm Springs Road east of Heavenly View Drive, shortly before Green Valley Parkway.
Preliminary information obtained at the scene indicated the driver of a 2003 Ford F-150 was travelling east on Warm Springs Road in the left travel lane. The male pedestrian was crossing Warm Springs Road from south to north outside of any designated crosswalk and not in an intersection. The pedestrian was wearing dark clothing and crossed in the path of the Ford. The driver of the Ford did not see the pedestrian in time and the pedestrian was struck.
The pedestrian was transported to Sunrise Trauma in critical condition where he later succumbed to his injuries.

During initial investigation, it does not appear that speed or alcohol were factors and the driver of the Ford F-150 remained at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation.
The name of the pedestrian will be released by the Clark County coroner after next of kin notifications.
The crash is being investigated as the seventh traffic-related fatality in Henderson this year.
