A 53-year-old pedestrian is dead after being hit by a car near Warm Springs Road and Tamarus Street around 11:34 p.m. Saturday.
Las Vegas police say a Toyota Prius was traveling eastbound on Warm Springs Road in the left travel lane. The Toyota struck the pedestrian, identified as Jeffrey Miller of Las Vegas, who was also walking east in the left travel lane.
Both the driver of the Toyota and the pedestrian were taken to the hospital, where the pedestrian was pronounced dead. The driver of the Toyota was treated and released from the hospital.
Police say the Toyota driver did not show signs of impairment.
