A pedestrian has died in a crash Monday evening just south of McCarran International Airport.
Las Vegas police said the victim was jaywalking across Sunset Road, near Bermuda Road, around 6:45 p.m. She was then hit by a Toyota Tacoma traveling westbound. Police said a vehicle in front of the Toyota swerved ahead of the crash.
The 41-year-old woman from Los Angeles was transported to UMC Trauma and pronounced deceased.
Sunset Road was closed for nearly four hours after the crash.
This was the 92nd traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department jurisdiction in 2016.
