Police said a 2012 Dodge Charger was speeding while traveling northbound on Pecos Road when it drifted and clipped the rear of a pickup truck.

The Charger then lost control, hit a power pole, and caught fire. Both male and female occupants were burned and died at the on scene.

The pickup driver was not injured and stayed to speak to police, according to officers.

Traffic was shut down on Pecos Road in both directions after the crash, as authorities continued their investigation.

The Clark County coroner will release the names of the two killed once family has been notified.
